Ben McQuhae & Co recognised in the inaugural The Legal 500 Green Guide

We are delighted to share that Ben McQuhae & Co has been recommended in The Legal 500’s inaugural Green Guide: Asia Pacific for the work our firm is doing in helping to drive the sustainability transition.

Thank you The Legal 500 for placing much needed emphasis on the important role the legal profession can play in the fight against climate change and in the sustainability transition. We appreciate being part of this initiative and being recommended in the inaugural Green Guide – we consider it an important measure of our success as a law firm.

We do not have an ESG practice. We choose to place ESG at the heart of our business plan and have developed a service offering that leverages legal solutions to help drive corporate sustainability efforts and the sustainability transition. We only take on mandates that are aligned with the UN SDGs.

Becky Clissmann said it best – “When you are purchasing goods or services, ask your suppliers about their decarbonisation targets. If they aren’t aligned with the 1.5C goal, ask them if they plan to be. If they don’t have adequate decarbonisation plans in place, you need to decide whether you want to use a supplier whose GHG emissions will adversely impact your own decarbonisation targets”.
