Greenwashing is prominent across many sectors and jurisdictions notwithstanding the associated risk of regulatory enforcement, litigation and reputational harm. Regulators globally are introducing or refining the tools available to them to combat greenwashing.
We joined a dream team of subject matter experts to respond to a request for evidence of greenwashing practices from the European Supervisory Authorities. Our response is a comprehensive report on greenwashing that includes case studies, details on the concept of greenwashing, and some discussion on the infrastructure that surrounds and facilitates greenwashing, including a look at the ESG Rating space.
