Thank you ALB for acknowledging our leadership in ESG and law. There is no doubt lawyers and law firms can play a hugely important role in the fight against climate change and accelerating the sustainability transformation. This is why we place sustainability at the heart of our business plan. We only accept client mandates that are aligned with the UN SDGs and integrate sustainability in our own internal operations.
It is great to see ALB and other legal directories starting to place much needed emphasis on ESG. While we appreciate recognition for our commitment and leadership, it should be said that being ranked favourably for ESG does not really prove anything without clear assessment criteria on the part of the ranker and full transparency on the part of the ranked.
